  • Exactly, multinational oligarchs live in their own reality, with their own infrastructure all over the world.

We are a piggy bank to rape for private profit, not their society.

That’s what happens when you let people accumulate society warping levels of capital to begin with. Beyond material desires, that’s what capital is: power. Power to propagandize entire nations with for profit media, power to capture entire state and world governments, power to live above the Commons you destroy.

No one should be allowed to gather more power in a society than their single vote allows. This is why civilized nations have publicly funded campaigns, and trying to buy votes is still a crime. Other people live here. Thre should be a 100% wealth tax somewhere in the high double digit millions where you get a cake and a medal and a senator comes and shakes your hand for all future money going to repair and improve the commons like roads and education and HEALTHCARE that facilitated their rise to such astronomical success to begin with.

Citizens of the Nordic nations, the happiest people’s on Earth, largely have no problem being taxed for success because they’re educated to understand that their success is society’s success, and they live in society so everyone wins. Hard work yields bigger homes and toys, but not sociopaths trying to buy half of Hawaii’s beaches to lock their fellow citizens away from that lived there first away from them for example.

They chose live together, we choose die alone. Most people suffer under die alone. I wish Americans weren’t so successfully propagandized into being hostile towards the very idea of society on the basis of “well you might be rich one day, and you don’t want filthy poor people making you less rich when that happens, do you, you fucking sucker?”

We have no left party in the United States, merely an economically right-wing party to the left of a fascist party, with a few left-wing spoilers like AOC and Sanders that they despise far more than their fascist opposition party, because while Democrats and Republicans rage over social policy, often the symptoms of economic desperation, they drink from the same Wall Street gravy train and take the same orders on economic policy.

A party actually attempting to reorient our economy based on the needs and priorities of the citizens of our society would be catastrophic to their legalized bribery, and insider info feeding arrangement.

If you think either party under it’s current form will EVER lead to any form of universal healthcare, you’re deluding yourself.

The UK has had universal healthcare since 1948. Canada since 1968-1970(provinces rollout)

  • I see it more as speed of descent.

I’m of the opinion this country is sold, and died about half a century ago as a democracy, and this is just leftover momentum. All but waned momemtum.

Our vote isn’t on whether to reorient the economy to reflect the priorities of its citizens, merely how, and if at all, to manage some of the social issue symptoms of our crumbling commons, the ruins of public education, as the owners search for new vectors of exploitation.

I see voting blue as akin to requesting we leave the water pumps turned on for this sinking ship to buy time(D), and voting red a vote turn them off because some passengers have been deluded into hating other passengers and really, really want to watch them drown® despite being in the same boat with them.

The holes are our economic policy, but ask either party about patching them and you’ll get something akin to “What holes? This ship is unsinkable! If you think there’s holes, you’re the problem.”

Dont worry though, there are lifeboats, just enough for the politicians and their donors. Wealth means not having any national allegience.

  • Have you seen the absolute ruins of our public education system, defunded over and over to cut sociopath’s taxes for half a century?

This isnt just “these people are awful” these people were made by unchained capitalists.

They act like tribal animals fearing and hating the other because educating someone is the same as civilizing someone.

We don’t do that here for most. Our public ed has become little more than laborer daycare.

We can barely even manage it being laborer daycare, since our defunded public schools can’t pay shit, choosing to become a teacher in public ed is choosing a life of scraping by and trying to educate classrooms of 30+ children by yourself, of being punished for trying to help society for a living.

Meanwhile, those with enough time not working to complain on behalf of their children are given charter escape hatches that the owners profit off of despite claiming charters are “non-profit” through for profit, publicly traded charter management corporations, and even charters tend to have a conservative “helping society bad” bias in their curriculum. You should hear some of the shit my local “Challenger schools” advertises, students being interviewed saying they learned they should seek friends who can help themselves today. Yikes.

Then the owner’s children are educated, at private schools, where they are taught that owners don’t empathize or concern themselves with the plight of the livestock.

Never wonder why the citizens of prosocial nation’s impression of average Americans is that we are complete ignoramuses. It’s not an accident. It’s intended. A bone dead stupid laborer is a compliant, easily manipulated laborer.

  • denying more insurance claims

You say that like that wasn’t their top priority the day before the shooting.

I don’t mean to antagonize, but I dislike even passive implications that they’ve shown us any quarter or will stop being nice now.

They were always for maximum murder for maximum profit. At no point does anyone in charge go “well if they’ve paid their premiums for decades and never used their plan at all, let them have the surgery” if they have any technicality to prevent it.

No amount of Good boy/girl reverence towards them has or will result in anything positive for their customers/marks.

That’s bad for business. They never used kid gloves, so they have nothing to take off. There was 0 good faith being exercised between private health insurers and their customers on December 3rd.

If anything, what happened helped a few BlueCross patients not be billed tens of thousands for anasthesia for their approved surgeries after the fact, at least for a few months until they institute it anyway if this moment passes without becoming a movement. Unlike goodwill, they do seem to respond to fear.

  • Calling for anything less than universal healthcare and the abolition of private, for-profit health insurers means they still side with them.

There isn’t any quagmire, we’re the only “developed nation” that chooses not to have universal healthcare coverage in some form.

We choose not to solely because there’s a booming industry profiting off selling us a fake guarantee of care, a con, and then killing us instead and keeping the premiums we paid them, score, and that industry pays politicians to be against universal healthcare in practice, lip service when out of power notwithstanding.

You show me a politician against universal healthcare, and I’ll show you someone who either took the money, or a coward legislating by path of least resistance.

And reminder “herp derp waitlists” Is a red herring, that isnt a function of Healthcare coverage or payment at all, that’s a function of a Society’s supply of Medical professionals regardless of who pays them, and that’s a whole other conversation about why our society’s sociopathic economy rewards self serving MBAs and Hedge Fund managers and economically punishes what society actually needs: nurses, teachers, etc.

Our economy incentivise and punish lots of things already, the owners just use their captured government to incentivise all the wrong things and punish most of the right things from the perspective of almost all of the citizenry, whether they’ve been successfully propagandized against their own interests or not.

“Herp derp well when it Trickles down and Im a millionaire, I’ll just buy buy me a concierge medicine plan, and I don’t want my future millionaire self to have to pay for poor people’s Healthcare! You feel me Cletus? Pass me another beer.” -Capitalist’s sad, deluded victims

  • I want the owners to feel uncomfortable.

    Im all for this.

    Put Luigi everywhere.

Even they look out their limo windows at the plebs walking by.

Let them see Luigi, let them see DENY DEFEND DEPOSE

Make the owner’s guard gated world feel like a gilded cage.

Make them feel explicitly unwelcome on every sidewalk they too have to walk down to get to the resturaunt/show/etc they want to go to. Everywhere their exploited congregate.

They destroyed the Commons, send the message they can get the fuck out of them.

You might think it won’t matter, but these are the types that lose their fucking minds being denied anything.

The allies murdered a lot of Nazis.

    Whats the bfd?

War is mass murder, we just feel uncomfortable saying that so we’re bullshitted into saying “it’s not murder… It’s war!” War being that thing where old men send young men to murder one another to either increase or retain their power.

Historically, murder solves shit, sorry. If the long arm of history truly does bend towards justice, thank murder, because the times passivism effected significant change are few and far between historically speaking. Sometimes the powerful goes too far in their decadence, they have, they limit the peasant’s non-violent options, they have, and the alternative to violence is subjecting your kids and their kids to the very same cruelty.

Sometimes enough is enough. Peasants were murdered yesterday, are today, will be tomorrow in the name of profit.

It being sanctioned by our captured state doesn’t make it not murder. Moreover it’s not just murder, it’s a one sided, ongoing slaughter for profit.

Luigi’s single murder merely put a new spotlight on what some of us already knew for the rest. May all of us be judged by how we react to that spotlight. The ones calling it wrong and evil end of story responding “turn off that spotlight so we can go back to pretending our society isn’t fucked right now.”

  • Our economy was most fair when Unions had some power. From the 50s to the 70s, there was a corrupt equilibrium when Conservatives were bribed by business and liberals were bribed by unions, until they were convinced to take the larger corporate bribe checks and joined the owner movement to undermine unions. Today’s neoliberals. That is when, at least on economic policy, we effectively lost our vote. Then we lost our protest with designated protest zones out of the eyelines and profit operations of those being protested, which is effectively masturbation.

I think it’s inevitable when you don’t inflict close to 100% enforced taxation above ludicrous levels of wealth accumulation. Because wealth at a certain level beyond material desires becomes power. Society warping levels of power, power to warp public opinion through media and captured education, power to neuter your own regulators through bribed politicians passing legislation written by the owners themselves(see ALEC), and no one should have such unelected power.

    No one.

Part of the reason we know it’s gotten this bad, closer to a return to the 1920s with child labor on the rise, is because there were some less unfair decades, and it’s no surprise those decades came in the wake of the owner class created great depression.

Now people watch wealthy people like the Kardashians as role models, when they should spit onto the street in disgust when such people walk by. Greed hurts people. Greed is a blight, a personal failing we’ve been propagandized to nurture.

If you can’t be happy only making enough for 2 big houses and 1 regular yacht and to indulge your hobbies for the century give or take you’ll be alive, you’re broken inside, and need mental healthcare, not enablers for your God complex.
