Streaming in general is approaching the old cable prices. Once you’ve subscribed to the fractured marketplace to find the shows you want you are spending far more than you expected.

Depending on the industry banging your coworkers will not increase the birth rate.
Finally, my hitting on that hot coworker isn’t inappropriate but patriotic.
I’m no fan of Hezbollah but how is this different than spreading land mines? Even if you kill civilians in an air strike at least you can claim there were enemy combatants there. Here it is just “Eh, we’ll just kill people at random and see what happens.”
Or illegal immigrants are more likely out of their population (about 10 million) to commit a violent crime.
I thought my tuna salad had a kick to it
During ww2 the alternative was hunger
We’re always trying to optimize and reduce loss/waste. Being able to have food sit on shelves for months without oxidizing or rotting has been a huge improvement in terms of food loss but it requires these biounavailable materials. If we use compostable materials for packaging then the clock starts ticking on them and storage facilities need to maintain stricter standards (i.e. keep humidity down).
The medical aspect is a big issue. You see what is consumed in an ER and surgery and then multiply that by a million/day and you wonder how much of this trash is being produced. Lawsuits over every little medical issue don’t help reduce this. Fishing industry waste is another big issue for the oceans.
Part of me thinks we’d be better off just burning most of it at this point. Maybe work on bacteria that can break down the plastics in specific environments like seawater.
FB is the worst for this when they stick a link to another person in your comment. Stop trying to force me to link people all the time.
People who chew with their mouth open are maddening lol
How do you leave it in a “functionable state”? Drivers disappear, hardware changes, libraries get updated, os’ update or die off, etc. You’d have to expose the source code to the public at that point and if I was a developer I’d want nothing to do with that market then.
The idea of ownership is being destroyed
The weight matters too. EVs are notoriously heavy. You have to haul around the batteries whether they are full or not.
“However, due to their high production costs, these batteries’ initial application will be limited to the “super premium” EV segment.”
Thinking you are above the rules is privilege and self entitlement.
Food in general is one reason I haven’t been to a theater in decades. I hate listening to the endless crinkle of wrappers, the shoveling in of popcorn, etc. I really don’t want to smell the stink of the burger and fries you brought in or the crunching of the bag. It is bad enough when someone brings their smelly meal onto a plane and I have to smell it for an hour.
I’m not sure I want the gov and huge amounts of my tax dollars going to operate federal gov chip fab plants. On the other hand I get your point that it is so heavily subsidized it is practically a de facto situation anyway.
Executives will be “essential”, QA, sys admins, etc will be non essential.
I didn’t think he had $900m in the first place
