Every time I raise the issue with Proof-of-Work coins being damaging to the environment I get a flood of hate. Proof-of-Stake coins might have other problems, but at least they consume 100s of times less power. I’m sure if we could even come up with something better if the crypto bros stopped circlejerking.
Yeah I don’t see it being the best of mixes. GHB works on your serotonin receptors. That’s why they also call it liquid ecstasy. But on the other hand it also gets you wasted like booze does. It’s hard to dose and easily knocks people out. (I did drug education and one of the things we teach is how to position somebody who passes out from GHB so they don’t choke on their vomit or tongue.) Besides that it’s pretty fun, but I wouldn’t mix it when tripping.

Where I live, the victim needs to send the bill for their physical treatment to the insurance company of the person driving the car. It is required by law to pay it (with some help of a government fund) if there is an official insurance claim. After that it’s up to the victim to decide whether or not they sue for more, and the insurance company whether or not they want to get their money back because they think the driver was endangering others (mostly trough court).
This makes it so:
It is still possible to fake hospital bills and stuff, but then it becomes fraud which can get you in jail. And it most likely wouldn’t even work.
I find it weird that it is even possible to make money off this stuff in some countries.
Even in a privatized hospital, like the US, euthanasia will always be cheaper than normal medical care. So even in capitalist countries I don’t see that being the case.
