I’m not saying Darby shouldn’t be world champ, but I’d rather see him beat a heel to win the title than retire a beloved wrestler.

I think the idea is they are both from Washington and Danielson would have been giving Darby the rub.

Same, and give it a bit longer. I’d like to see him pick up 1 more secondary title first personally.

I don’t like Darby, but I’d have preferred him to the putting the belt back on Mox. I just don’t see how doing this puts interest on AEW, Mox is a long way from casual WWE people remembering he is Ambrose. Bryan should have gone down to somebody up coming, IMO.

Also, are we just doing an NWO story here? “We are taking over…” from Mox leading into Darby basically playing Sting from '97? Here’s hoping it doesn’t last until Double or Nothing or All In to get there and that it doesn’t end with a Starrcade ending.

Me and my partner haven’t watched AEW in about 9 months. But we do watch Brian Zane’s ppv reviews to keep on the loop.

When we saw the finish at wrestle Dream we were intrigued. I did say this is an angle that could be good, but I did also say AEW will screw it up again.

Then I’m very glad it’s working, the more eyes on AEW the better, I hope I’m wrong and it does make AEW more attractive to other people.
