Probably not, because we banned drag on this instance due to the endless trolling and drama drag was causing. It’s a shame some of the trans communities haven’t yet realized that drag is making a mockery of neo-pronouns in order to stir up as much drama as possible.

Oh well, drag will have moved onto some other hot topic and another username soon enough, no doubt, and will likely suck in another bunch of well-meaning users who buy into drag’s shtick. Drag hasn’t tried pretending to be blind yet, for example, so we probably have that to look forward to at some stage.

I’m still respecting drag’s preferred pronoun just in the off chance drag is genuinely trans though - and I’d encourage other users to also do this. But let’s be real here - trans folks have their fair share of drama farmers and trolls, just like any other demographic. It’s not a free pass to be an asshole.

One thing to note is that drag might be therian. The gist of it is that sometimes the brain glitches out and finds it easier to relate to other species of animals, real or not, than other humans. Therianthropy can even go as far as causing people to have phantom tails, ears, etc. No idea why, it just kinda happens.

It’s one of those things that sounds weird and is hard to relate to or understand if you’ve never experienced it; so it gets a bad rap. That and there are animal abusers zoophiles who try to use it as a nicer way of saying, “I like abusing animals bestiality”. It sucks.

That said, there’s nothing wrong with being therian if you’re being legit about it, imo it’s just another form of neurodivergence. Though, I’m not sure if I totally agree with trying to force people to accept it by using “drag” pronouns, buuuuut I guess you could say the same about me wanting people to use she/her instead of he/him. If being referred to as “drag” makes drag happy, then w/e I guess.

Edit: imo, if you wanna screw with drag, just accept drag for who drag is. If drag is really looking for attention, then drag will get bored or annoyed. On the other hand, if drag actually needs that kind of affirmation, then you’re doing a good thing for drag. You’re honestly probably making drag feel amazing by using the correct pronouns.

This is the way. Causing drama is what an attention seeker wants. Avoiding drama is what a person who has whatever we want to call the affliction wants. In all cases, the best case is to just accept the person at face value, avoid the drama, and keep living.

Ffs, I thought the drag thing was just their chosen nickname, because writing dragonfucker every time was too tiresome for them. I find it pretty sketch though, if they really identified as a dragon (I can’t believe I just typed that out), then it’s weird they chose an explicitly sexual username. I mean, I enjoyed the occasional gay sex before I got married, but I never considered using “cocksucker” as a handle online. Why would anyone do that?

Honestly I’m not convinced drag is trolling. I know a few people IRL who are almost exactly like drag (but the third person, which supposedly isn’t actually third person but the preferred pronoun itself, is definitely a bit different. And the people I know don’t claim dragon specifically, but other similarly wacky genders.)

Hell, vulpine.club (iirc the correct masto instance,) is full of people not far off from drag, some of whom claim DID and other things, and all of whom (I think it’s a prerequisite) claim to be otherkin or some such stuff. These people are out there albeit maybe not as common as like, “regular” trans people (don’t kill me I couldn’t think of a better word, ykwim dammit! Lol), drag may just be one.

No and I’m not trying to say that using their uname is an insult, I just mean that I’m not convinced that drag’s “drag” bit is a troll, they could be serious.

If they were serious they could have created a new account with drag as the username.

Keeping the current one seems like an easy way to bait people into situation like the one discussed here.

Not saying that the people you know are doing anything similar

Did drag themselves (dragself whatever lol) report the comment for the use of their uname being an insult, or did someone else/a mod happen by/etc? If they reported it themselves that would indeed be some evidence of trolling imo, but if they didn’t report it themselves this seems entirely unrelated imo.

Again I’m not referring to this comment being banned specifically, I’m saying that drag’s existence itself may not be a troll on trans people/neopronouns as a whole, as the comment I replied to suggests. I’m saying drag may actually wish to use drag as a pronoun and may not be doing so specifically to piss people off. I’m basing that possibility off the fact that there are other people that do use silly pronouns like drag does that I know IRL and have seen on masto before, they aren’t all trolling and drag is very similar to them, so it seems to be plausible to me that they indeed may take themselves seriously.

I hope that clears up any misunderstandings on my previous supposition.

I hear that, but as I said, keeping that username instead of getting a new account with drag just prevents people from taking drag seriously

I’mma be honest I think there’s a lot keeping people from taking drag seriously, regardless of if they do themselves or not, I’m just not sure if troll or not (and honestly leaning towards no).

Do those real people also encourage trans people to commit murder-suicide? Because Dragonfucker absolutely did. No excuse for this shit, dragonfucker is an evil piece of shit, and we shouldn’t excuse their behavior even if they are trans. That shit just isn’t acceptable ever.

Yeah well that is definitely not cool, but it still doesn’t mean they aren’t serious about their gender, could be both.

I’m not saying that either, I’m just saying we can’t claim they aren’t trolling, we can’t actually know that. There are Xenogender people out there who are for real, and there are trolls like DroneRights who aren’t, you can’t always tell them apart.

Fair, I thought it was clear I was speaking in the context of their gender but I’m not sure I specified. Although I’m also saying I’m not sure if they are or not, sounds like we kinda sorta agree lol.
