Well yes, but actually no. You could argue that many a story does not specifically need any sequels. We know that FromSoft is perfectly capable to put out awesome follow-ups to games, though, be it in form of DLC or actual sequels, so the cry for more Bloodborne is one I can understand perfectly well and personally resonate with.

Diablo 1 is also a self-contained story and does not require a sequel to be a good story and game, but despite the corporate, money-driven motivations of ActiBlizzard’s recent Diablo games, Diablo 2 elevated the genre and game series to a whole new level. Who’s to say that Bloodborne 2 can’t? Lies of P is definitely a worthy competitor

As much as I would love more Bloodborne content, remaster and bring it to PC. It is nearly the perfect game to me, so I can do with no more additions to the world, especially if we were to get a remaster and I could finally get my brother to play it on steam.

I will never own a game console again (excluding things like the steam deck which aren’t locked down), so red pill is an easy pick for me. Though if there’s any PSN garbage I’m not touching it, or obtaining it through other means. 🏴‍☠️
