  • Proxies are effective political attack vectors, see: politician’s family like hunter biden, non running candidates like joe biden, talkshow hosts who speak positively about one or the other candidate

This kind of focal shift happens all the time, evidently to pretty decent effect, elon husk making himself the center of the R campaign brings his positive and negative baggage with it.

    Side note

Husk isn’t a US citizen so this is his peak political influence

  • Absolutely impossible to read the source article without adblock, the state of the web is so terrible, 6 ads surrounding the first paragraph.

Regardless of the article’s content I can attest that organizations I work with are replacing humans in the Philippines and Malasia with modern voice based AI, and “saving money”

As the technology improves, which is already in the pipeline with new models being baked as we speak, we really need to think of the humans. My career is in software, it’s always been challenging to avoid making software that makes people redundant, and most firms don’t even consider the cost

  • I think Harris is trying to capture a group of Americans that hardlines on immigration, unfortunately some of what she’ll concede on during this election cycle will likely alienate progressives in favor of tempting the opposition. It’s strategically valuable because progressives will still vote for her, but maybe a few conservative voters will be swayed.

Imo it’s more important to pay attention to how she’s voted, how she acts, and whether she will change her mind when presented with important information. In that way she’s by far our most trustworthy candidate even on issues like this one.
