People do (and did before the patch) complete then solo. If you paired with an experienced group no reason you shouldn’t smash it. Did you have fun? As I think that’s what they are aiming for

Pretty sure the Devs have said it’s a bit too easy now, remember the first game had 15 difficult settings. Personally I think it’s a great step in the right direction to make more of the loadouts viable and make the game more fun, it’s a power fantasy after all. It will mean that maybe some groups need to go up a difficult level or two and if you’re already storming through on 10 you can try the less optimal builds out while your waiting for the next difficulty levels to come out.
Depending on what you’re going for, 1 and give them a German accent. Otherwise 2.
It’s really fun to use, seems to have good effect on the bugs unsurprisingly. Was clearing bug nests and breaches. Doesn’t seem to close holes but that’s not surprising.
You’ve gotten further than me, I’ve made it to the city before something got me on my furthest run.
I’ve been playing Rogue Trader, really enjoying it so far. I’ve also gotten myself a harmonica and started learning to play that, I’m still at the nursery rhymes stage but it’s good to make music again.
Genuinely my favourite gaming moment. Nothing before or since from the medium has made me feel as much as that sequence. It’s just fantastic. If you game at all you need to try it.
We had a long weekend in the UK. The weather was surprisingly reasonable as well, it only rained on Saturday. It’s always nice to have longer off work.
Oh that’s fun! Do you have a suitable amount of pun equivalents of your local shops and landmarks?
My previous game was Dresden files accelerated where we played in the late 90s version of our town. My players burned down the pub. It was a good laugh.
That sounds fun. We always play theatre of the mind with maybe some simple maps if there’s a lot going on.
I’m currently running a game of Spire the City must fall. Not been playing it long but already loving the characters my players have made. It’s a really dense setting so I’m running a module and keeping them mostly in a couple areas of the city to make things easier for me. The system is pretty interesting though I’d recommend it.
What are you playing? I hope it goes well.
Mid way through season 2. We’ve just had the one where Teal’c is turning into a bug.
We’re watching Stargate SG-1. Still great.
Thanks for writing this, genuinely one of the best descriptions of the second game I’ve seen.
I have been playing a lot of Pacific Drive. Highly recommend it, I’m loving the vibes. Mostly chill with moments of panic.
Snap I’m about to go to the innermost zone. Really enjoying it so far. The vibes are great. It’s mostly chill with some intense oh god I’m going to die moments mixed in.
Of course it would be rude not to.
I’ll add it to my wishlist and keep an eye out.
I found it from some recommendations on Lemmy recently and I’ve been really enjoying it. Managed to unlock all the characters and beat the first boss with Huntress. It’s a really great little rogue like I was surprised by how good the touch controls are.
I’m starting to get the hang of door ambushes and I’m still mostly chugging all the potions and reading all the scrolls I find.
Ooo, colour me intrigued. I loved the Dungeon keeper games back in the day. Are we talking spiritual successor or just invokes some of the same feelings?
You can generally get a deal on the basic ps plus which gets you it for cheaper. They tend to be around Christmas and black Friday in the UK at least. That makes it about the price of one game per year for online which isn’t too bad for my budget. I do agree that it’s silly to play for access to our own internet but that’s what the consoles all do now so unless everyone switches to pc we are stuck with it. I also tend strongly towards patient gaming so the monthly games are often ones I’ve been waiting to come up for cheap. Little nightmares 2 this month was the only one I was interested in but we’ve recently had Tunic which was excellent.
