If you are an oil exporter, taking put other countries oil production makes your exports more valueable.
The US already works against Iran, Russia and Venezuela.

Jerusalem. The mosque is the al-Aqsa
I for my part like that the government is working hard in disrupting oil production.
Are other countries still sending bombs to Israel an this point? Germany stopped sending those in the beginning of the year, pretty much only supplying air defence components, the UK has stopped weapon licences and besides that I believe do not like Israel enough.
EU regulation requires 37% plug in electric starting next year. We are talking over 4.7million EVs next year in a relativly open market.
We had entire cilizations collapse entirly mostly due to ecological disasters. Illnesses were wipeing out huge parts of the population in some cases. Wars also used to be much more common.
The technologies we have do make the world a better place. Not alwasys, but on average.
By making sure they do not need to try, but can be sure they can get by.
Cargo bikes are smaller then vans. So you can get closer to the destination, without having to carry the parcel.
That would be great, but I doubt that. If US emissions stay stable that would be a 6.6% annual drop over a decade. If Carbonbriefs anslysis of Bidens climate policy is correct and US polizicans do not touch that at all, we are talking 10% annual drops. So far Chinas emissions have been growing most years. They might have peaked right now, but I foubt, they drop this quickly.
Wrong community. This one is for about the server. !solarpunk@slrpnk.net or !urbanism@slrpnk.net would be better.
Getting rid of the electoral college would not solve spoiler candidates necessarily. For that you would need to replace it with ranked voting or multiple rounds. Would still be a good idea, as the college just means presidents caring a lot more about swing states.
In Germany you only have to use a crosswalk, if it is within 30m of where you want to cross, or 40m in case of a traffic light. Otherwise you can cross wherever you want. Obviously you got to do so in a safe manner.
Even if you adjust for that countries like France, Spain and Sweden have lower emissions. However the EU as a whole is 10% above China. Then again the data is from 2021 so they probably are about equal nowadays.

It really is not. China has built a lot of green tech in the last few years, but economic growth has meant energy consumption grew faster then renewables. However Chinas economy has problems, which China tries to solve by going green. So you get renewables and things like EVs actually replacing fossil fuels.
At the same time China is not a saint and per capita emissions are above those of most European countries right now.
You are not going to easily convert a hardcore Republican, but a lot of undecided voters do not follow politics closely. Having the Republican describing himself as a Nazi is about as clear as it can get, which will convice a lot of them to vote blue. It is also a good way of bringing people who would vote Democrat to actually vote.
States like Louisiana or Mississippi have huge black minorities. If those voters turn up to actually vote in a non racist candidate the Republicans could loose.
It is a light small car, which weights a third of a Tesla Model 3. W=0.5mv² so a third of the masd means a third of the energy needed.
Soylent Green needs people too.
This is only about land, land use and forestry. So the request is pretty much not to cut down forests. That is asked all the time, for very good reasons.
This is not how subsidies work. Subsidies just artigically lower the price for something, while increasing the price for other things(you need money to pay the subsidies). So with the economy dependent on oil, cutting subidies would just increase oil prices, while lowering the price for alternatives.
We need to cut subsidies and deploy the alternatives quickly enough. We have most of the tech and for the most part supply chaines to make it work.
