I am going to be rather annoyed if this is the reason LNP win this coming election in Queensland.

The one in the photos is a Bottlebrush. But, I do have a couple Pohutukawa’s planted around the garden, though they are still small and haven’t flowered yet.
Just planted seeds for sugar baby watermelons last Sunday been. These seeds are from the last set of watermelons I had last year, so this is a first for me where I actually use seeds from fruit I have eaten. I still have heaps of seeds left over, so I am now setting up another raised garden. So I will probably have double, if not triple the harvest from last year.
Lemon tree flowers have nearly all been exhausted, so I think I will be getting a large batch of lemons. My other citrus trees are starting to flower now, so not sure if they will be covered in flowers and bees soon, of if they will be a bit more conservative. The pineapple orange I have planted is still really small, so I am pinching the flower buds off of it so it can focus on growing up. Maybe next year.
Setting up a new garden in the middle of my back yard. Going to focus on planting natives in it. I get three free trees from my local council every year, so that will be the focus for this little garden. Still pretty ugly at the moment, haven’t gotten rid of the grass yet, so will post photos once it is complete.
Overall, exciting start to Spring. Been a really hot end to Winter and start to Spring here in Queensland, so all the plants are getting excited and flowering heaps.
Looks like the main image is broken (at least for me) so here it is again, plus another.
This one is from my lemon tree. The smell is pretty strong, though it is very pleasant.
First website I go to before booting up a game: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com
One of my citrus trees’ leaves are turning yellow and curling up. I have now just realised that I am a dummy, because I haven’t been watering them consistently. Hopefully the coming rain next week will help fingers crossed.
My kiwiberry plant has now shed the majority of its leaves, so probably time to trim it back while it looks like a bunch of dead sticks in a pot.
A couple bottlebrushes have flowered, though not a heap, maybe 5 to 6 flowers each. And my very small Christmas bushes have started to flower too.
Just don’t share the mushrooms around 😳
2 for 1 growing conditions 🤣
Thanks for the ideas. Will the update script still need sudo to run, or can it be done at an unprivileged user level?
Thanks, I will put Mint on a USB, along side some others as well. I have fond memories of Mint, as it was my first distro.
Thanks, and good idea on letting them check out the different DE’s. Does Debian have multiple DE’s ready to go, or do you need to install each one individually?
I was thinking Fedora as I use it personally on all my computers and really like it, but I thought Gnome would be too much of a drastic change for them since they are coming from Windows. Might just put it on a USB just in case, and let them test out a couple DE’s before committing to anything.
The same thing we have for council elections, optional preferential I am pretty sure.
What ever he is trying, looks to me he wants QLD to be like the USA, in more ways than one…
