If this happens irl I’ll have your back. I’m totally comfortable replying with something stupid like “And what are you supposed to be you? I would call you ‘sir’, but you’re not acting like a man.”

Who cares if they’re trolling?
What’s the downside to assuming they posted this image in good faith?
Does it upset you that people might have different preferences than what you feel are the “correct” preferences?
Instead of reposting a picture outside of its original context, why not make a post with your own tier list and use it as a way to genuinely engage with other people?
I don’t think people should have to do that, but including context is generally an important part of asking a question.
Like if I’m trying to fix a problem and I need help I’d be like “I’m getting error code 123 on my printer (make, model). I’ve tried turning it off and on again, unplugged it from the wall, but the error always pops up as soon as it finishes powering on. Anyone have any experience with this and how to solve it?”
This is what it feels like to grow old.
That makes sense.
Would that also mean if a tree falls in the forest it always makes a sound because there’s always “someone” around to hear it? It sounds like we could say that the air or ground is “observing” the sound waves or impact made by the collision?
“Observe means observed by a conscious being”
Can something without consciousness make an observation?
Not a historian, but I believe Sojourner Truth is probably one of the names most closely associated with the phrase.

Phrases like “I found Jesus” or “y’all need Jesus” have a lot of longevity because they describe a sentiment of experiencing salvation and reconciliation in terms that are understood by a large part of the population.
Instead of “Jesus” you could say “I found my purpose in life” or “I found love” and I think you’d be expressing nearly the same sentiment.
It actually makes sense as a campaigning song to me as long as your platform is about trying to address the social problems the song is highlighting.
From the perspective of Rocco’s species as a whole they have definitely been mistreated, but I wonder if Rocco has found happiness as an individual. Their human seems to care about them at least, which I think is generally considered beneficial.
Something I like to do is look at my room as if I were an archaeologist or detective trying to build a profile on myself. It’s a different way of framing how you see yourself.
If you and your friends have YouTube/Google accounts you’ll get recommendations based on what your friends watch and search for.
Probably because your brain subconsciously does color correction (similar to optical illusions) that you don’t notice until you have a direct comparison.
I assumed “weird” was used intentionally as an understatement for comedic effect.
Definitely the type of bio you write while high and you don’t have the sense of mind to consider that other people have also had these feelings and maybe you’re not quite so special in the way you think you are.
Two weeks? I feel like 9 months minimum.
I like how in Trump’s world he thinks he needs to explain the internet to people.
Gotcha. I guess I don’t really see “God” as a sentient being exclusively, so applying characteristics to him has always been a challenge.
I’m not trying to be funny, but would you also characterize “nature” as being an asshole?
I’m using the same structure as the original comment to make it easier to compare/contrast.
The fact that it’s causing you mental unrest means you need to report to the main office for a Voight-Kampff test. The tortoise lays on its back, it’s belly baking in the hot sun trying to turn itself over, but it can’t. Not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why is that?
Yo, that’s such a cool dream and it’s cool to talk to a Lakota. I love trippy dreams.
I had a dream last night where I was walking through a forest with some of my older relatives who had passed away (dad and grandpa) and we were just talking about life and I was asking for advice. I can’t remember anything that was “said”, but the dream resulted in the same sense of peace and calm that I normally got when talking to them irl.
