Just Stop Oil’s first protests were directly shutting down oil terminals, then oil companies bought private laws to stop that so they moved on to other, at the time legal, methods such as “slow marching”. These were then also made illegal.

Removing your artists from the creation of art surely will improve the quality of that art, right?
“The master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house”
But not for text?
When the choice is die other price gouged, people take the second option. Insurance likely pays this all in weird ways too. I’m sure some numbers were crunched to work out how many people they let die and how much more profit it’ll make them.
Far too late, people now know that better alternatives that respect their users exist. Sure massive corpos will still use unity but it’s not the indie darling it once was.
I don’t get why they don’t attack her on her policies (like supporting Israel’s genocide), not on superficial bullshit
Fr, I just went to a bakery today around 2pm and it was nearly empty. For night shift workers or people with wonky sleep schedules bakeries are inaccessible
I know so many trans people who can’t access legal health care due to years long waiting lists or very expensive inaffective private health care. In the UK it’s between waiting ~4 years for health care or becoming a criminal.
In the UK when you sign up to vote you have the option to be on the “open register” which is a list of voters that companies then buy to find people to spam with letters etc. Safe to say I’ve opted out
For the uninitiated, this is a quote that James Acaster attributes to Pythagoras in one of the shows from his series, Repertoire. I sadly can’t seem to find a clip of it but that’s the source
I was in multiple psych wards in the UK as a minor and hooo boy were they not good. Most were state-run but one time there wasn’t enough beds in state-run wards so I spent 3 months in a private psych ward paid for by the NHS. This was the worst of all. There were clear signs of them taking their time to release people so they’d have enough beds full. I mean we were all there against our will anyway but they dragged it out. It was awful in lots of other ways but I’ll save that for the memoirs.
You could say that for everyone pushing for an encryption ban. If they use whatsapp, encryption, if they use https websites, encryption. Banning encryption is nigh impossible, it’s like trying to ban prime numbers. What they’ll actually do is get even easier backdoors and criminalise the masses that use it while still using it themselves.
healthier option than the others
shops sell water my dude
At least here in the UK, unless you directly see where that egg was laid, assume it was horrific.
Cemu (a Wii U emulator) has also just released a flatpak!
My parents just got a new car with one of those tablets built into the console. They were showing it off to me and turned it on, only for the radio to be blaring and my dad had to go through like 5 menus to get to stop it from playing.
Linux is free btw
I love how they apologise for their crimes after centuries, knowing full well that they will get away with their current atrocities.
