Isn’t the whole point that the gas engine equivalent is just in somebody else’s room though?
In any case, I’ll take whatever partial climate wins we can get.
Mind the shavings

I’m not convinced that capitalism could make phones better than the ones we have, for the reasons stated, and I’m not sure that not-capitalism could have made phones as good.
Which maybe wouldn’t be all bad when you consider all the slaves and stuff.
But this implied idea that we should have or are owed better phones is maybe worth some zooming out and some suspicion.
It was a beautiful four days.
There’s this spook in their religion that says everyone who’s not them will get tortured forever in hell so save as many as you can, but even the ones who don’t quite buy that aspect still have its lingering relative of “well if you’re gonna be a casual you ought to at least let them know how great it is”
Objectively no reason for that apology.
They need to apologize for apologizing.
Whatever dipshits demanded they apologize need to apologize for making the internet a worse place.
Yes but this story is about people who can vote.
If we up like Atlantis or some shit at least the future peoples can know we all knew everything was fucked and hate the decision makers as we do.
Everybody is better off when a person having a bad day doesn’t have a catastrophe button.
Time to make a million lina khan clones and put them in government.
If he won as hard as he said he did he’d jump at the free positive press.
George Lakoff is on record saying he heard him give a speech displaying masterful rhetoric. Then he lost an election to a “bubba”, and vowed, quote, “I’m never gonna get out-bubba’d again”.
It’s so very easy to get up and not be a traitor to your entire species, and these cunts just won’t do it.
Fucking coral reef.
We can’t afford to think like this. Climate is such an unthinkably massive issue that we need all of it, and then some more, and then some more.
There is no project big enough that we don’t need 50,000 more projects of equivalent scope to get things where they need to be.
Wait, how can you even stop somebody from sharing it to facebook? It has a text box and computers can copy and paste a URL.
I don’t have an actual answer to the question but this made me think of a recent realization and attitude that sounds emo and nihilistic but is kind of the opposite and pretty helpful: I try never to do anything unless I can do it not caring in the slightest whether it completely falls apart.
Sorry you went through that. Hope you can find a mental gyroscope for the aftermath.
It can be very useful to pick just one element of a multi-part bullshit firework and refute the shit out of it, and then completely tune out the rest.
Sometimes even just the quality of thinking comes across and does some work.
Now do eminent domain, but without the giving them money.
Sometimes the news, rather than depressing me, makes me feel like I cam do anything.
Not fixing the typo lol
Critical thinking would lead you to vote third party.
What they lack is a specific piece of electoral information about first past the post voting: https://youtu.be/s7tWHJfhiyo
Combine the understanding that america–deeply unfortunately–uses first past the post voting with critical thinking, and it’s obvious third parties are, for now, a waste.
But if you wrongly accuse them of not having critical thinking skills, they’ll use their critical thinking skills, which they have, to assume that you are not a good source of information, even though you’re encouraging them in the right direction.
