If you want your phone to be permabricked by the manufacturer at some random point in the future, it’s hard to beat a Google Pixel.

For me, I think it will. Love my moto.
Had mixed results on Samsung Z Flip 4. One had the inner screen die right after the warranty was up. Other is still going strong, though the permanent screen protector has separated at the hinge.
Did you read the article? Biden made many of Trump’s tarrifs permanent and Harris, while critical of Trump’s tarrifs, hasn’t put forth her own plan or disowned the Biden strategy.
Edit: Fucksake, Lemmy. It says this in the article. I said nothing positive or negative about either candidate or their positions on tarrifs. 😆
Fuck driving. You’d be lucky to get me off the couch. 😆
Obviously ACAB, but…I have known a few jackasses who thought nothing of driving while high. Just don’t. And don’t reply to me about how you “know your tolerance” or that you can “handle it”. Fuck you, you’re impaired. Don’t do it.
I can’t speak to Bluetooth as I don’t know much about it from a software development perspective, but when I first started working with USB I was surprised to find that the hardware is really simple but there’s a ton of software that makes it work. Specifications evolve over time to add features or improve efficiency. This neccesitates code changes, and those code changes have to be made at both ends of the connection if you want the devices to continue to be able to talk to each other. Aside from maintaining the interface code, there are probably also changes and improvements to the device itself. Thus, firmware updates. Make sense?
I’ll take a look. Thanks for the suggestion!
Good advice on balance, but we’re a small company. In addition to being SSE I’m also what passes for IT. 😆
I’ll check them out! Thanks for the tip.
Someone emailed my boss a while back pretending to be me. Asked that my direct deposit be changed. Boss told me he nearly sent it to the accountant but decided he should double check with me first. People are assholes.
Colonizers stick together.
Fucking hell. That’s depressing.
I think dying at work would really suck. Insult to injury.
Try harder Samsung. Google permabricked my Pixel 6. Twats.
I think it’s fine if Microsoft has their own nuclear power plant as long as every Microsoft corporate officer is required to live downwind of it. ✌🏻
After Disney Who finished, I re-watched all of Modern Who. I tried my best to watch each episode with an open mind and an open heart. Series 11 still lands in the bottom third for me, but I was surprised to find that now I rank Series 12 and 13 among the best. Makes me sad that I didn’t give it a fair shake in the original run. YMMV.
Doubt I’ll ever change my opinion on Disney Who itself, though. What a disaster. I wanted to love it so much. Disney ruins everything.
Doesn’t seem like a flubbed line. “Humanoids” wouldn’t make sense anyway because the Sensorites are humanoid. Maybe this is the aftereffects of the forced regeneration after the Doctor left the Division. 😆
Thanks for asking instead of down voting me!
This is what bit me. Hadn’t used the handset for a while. Ran updates and did a factory reset. The only fix is mainboard replacement, which our pal Google won’t do for out of warranty devices despite it being their fuck up.
