NW FL here. You have to go out and get used to it, and that has to be a commitment. Easier said than done, I’ve failed year after year.

If you’re out every day you learn tricks to stay cool and what to avoid. For example; We walk down to the neighborhood creek a couple of times a week. That trek is about a mile over sandy, slippery washes. You don’t want to go or leave from 2PM-5PM. Be on the water at those times or don’t do it. Best, go after 3PM.
