The commercial alternative to blender is software like Maya. But I too struggled with Blender, however I feel that’s because 3D modelling is different from CAD, since modelling is like molding clay into the shape you want it in, rather than accurately measuring it out like in CAD.

Yeah Fusion is the way to go, especially if you are learning. Lots of hate for it around here, due to Autodesk endlessly changing their policies. But there’s no point in learning the basics when you don’t know if it’s you… or the software.

But if your issue is just navigating the 3D space in FreeCAD, you can set it such that it’s the same in TinkerCAD/Fusion 360. FreeCAD calls it Revit, and you can set it in the lower right corner. Hold you mouse over it to show tool tips.

In my view CAD is always worth learning, especially if you understand what prints best on your printer.

FreeCAD is basically the worse possible beginners tools. Don’t get me wrong when you learn it, it’s good and comparable to professional CAD software. But the learning curve is dumb.

Learn the basics first. TinkerCAD is free (from Autodesk) and will get you started. But if you want something which would take you further Fusion360 is fantastic for beginners.

The workflow of CAD is as follows. Sketch -> Action -> Sketch -> Action. Lets say you want to make a box with a hole in it. Sketch the outer box -> Extrude it -> Sketch the inner box -> Extrude/Cut it.

BluRay is just a data format. PS3 games are just encrypted, which means with a modded PS3 you can back it up.

Same process in order to play it on RCPS3

PS2/PS1 throw it into a DVD player Ron a PC and rip it.

PS3 you’d need to homebrew it. Same process to get the files ready to play on RCPS3

This is a game from 2007, I doubt there are new/replacement discs. That said it appears to be functional so we’ll see.

Yes the results are the same, but by voting this way, you are actively participating in your democratic process. While not voting at all you are not. And if you do not participate, in my view, you cannot complain about the results.

While I can see why there’s a lot of doubt I can see one reason they would.

For years now Apple has been moving things in house, like moving from Intel to their own designs and chips. And moving away from Snapdragon to their own modems.

If they wanted to buy intel it would be for their fab capabilities to reduce their reliance on TSMC.

Do I think they will… probably not, but as I said, I can see why they would.

Nope since the copy of the software was obtained with someone else’s license. That said this would be hypothetically impossible to prove in court so 🤷

Circumventing DRM is questionable since I think it’s illegal to distribute but not own. So let’s say you have a CD installer for the Sims and download a crack exe to launch it without the CD. You are in the clear but the host for the download is not.

GOG or backing the game up yourself is the only way around this.

For me I was looking for reliability, so I ended up with Prusa. But I ended up with them thanks to a few simple rules I followed.

1. Can the machine and it’s parts be replaced with off shelf components?

2. Does it use, or is the platform compatible with open source slicers (Prusaslicer/Cura)?

3. Does the community support the device with mods on 3D model repositories (Thingiverse/Printables)?

4. Does the manufacturer have a track record for support (or the lack thereof)?

Before I got my Prusa, the Creality Ender 3 was the goto, and it was a really reliable machine. For my printing needs I need a direct drive print head, and a better auto bed leveling routine. But the Ender 3 s1 looks pretty good as an alternative.

I’ve use metal watch bands for years instead of silicone. Current one was for my Pebble time I got from Fossil and it’s still going strong.

I personally use a metal watch band for myself. I react poorly to p/leather and silicone and I’ve used a watch band I first got as a substitute for my Pebble Time. Might be from Fossil, but any old stainless steel metal band works for me.

Ditto, but I don’t exercise as much as they do so I assume its longevity is based off of how much you sweat.

Pepper Grinder (Steam/GOG/Switch/PS4/PS5/XB/ONE/S/X)

Released in March of the is year (and in August for non switch consoles) Pepper Grinder is a traditional 2D platformer with a world map, levels, and a gimmick of using a drill to travel underground like a dolphin through water.

Its platforming has a good rhythm to it, with a nice momentum when you go in and out of the dirt. The best way I can describe the game is that it feels like a Mario Gimmick level that’s been expanded to its own game.

If I had any complaints about this game, is that the boss fights are a bit too tedious. Not impossible as I’ve been able to beat them. But requires a bit more precise movement than the levels which preceded it.

Overall though, I haven’t played a 2d platformed in ages which I’ve actually wanted to go through in ages. And it is a welcomed addition to my gaming library.
