That’s M$ intention, to hide some settings from users and lose control of Windows.

This is just some of BS public stunts, they are trying to hide and create misinformation to deceive people. The mastermind of the online gambling issue here, is one of their cronies. A businessman, this guy being protected by top military brass and former general including a new elected president.
My guess? This is just PR from their politicians to say “they are saving the country” or whatever bullshit without actually doing anything useful

2·5 months agoI’m curious, can we have something like automation in LibreOffice? I mean like in VBA, where I can pull data and export excel charts.
It’s been a month since I started journey with Linux Mint as my daily driver. I enjoy tinkering with things like PulseEffects (trying to create similar sound effects as in Windows). Also tried to customize Conky, but I think I need to learn Lua.
I also found out that my setup without a swap file / partition. I guess it because I use btrfs for the root partition, so the Mint installer replaced swap with some tmpfs folders. I only realized after I got stuck in OOM. 😂😂

Just use KDEConnect or LocalSend, it’s not safe to use RDP to share files.
Cisco operates from the ISP side, they’ll poison DNS through their routers. And you should be aware that your ISP will employ Deep Packet Inspection which can also be done with Cisco routers. That means they can intercept internet traffic, especially if your internet connection is not encrypted.
5·5 months agoMander is not the only instance having this issue. Other instances like lemmy.nz (it was), reddthat also aussie.zone, monyet.cc have similar issue since months ago. I assume the culprit is cogent’s de-peering drama not from lemmy itself.
