minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkarrow-up14·12 hours agoYou could! With the power of reading!
minus-squareShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.onelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up14·11 hours agoBooks are amazing. Did anyone know you can get a book about being ungovernable? Or how to do mutual aid? Or why it’s morally okay to blow up pipelines? Books are amazing. I imagine you could find a book for any kind of idea.
minus-squareHildegarde@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·3 hours agoOnly $103 to preorder the book to learn to become ingouvernable!
minus-squareShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.onelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·3 hours agoThe book is about being ungovernable. Pirates are pretty ungovernable.
minus-squarepinkystew@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·12 hours agoSounds like you’re putting the responsibility of changing the system on everyone else.
minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·12 hours agoI’m not going to be a part of the American system anymore because I don’t think it will be changed any time soon. Not for the better. Not at the risk of my child’s life.
minus-squarepinkystew@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·10 hours agoYou mean you don’t want to be a part of it. You have to be as long as you’re a citizen.
minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·10 hours agoWhat do you expect me to do, mail a letter to the Secretary of State renouncing my citizenship? This is like being against the Vietnam War but criticizing the people who left for Canada to avoid the draft.
minus-squareSweetpeaches69@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·12 hours agoWhere are you moving to? I’ve been looking, as well.
minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·11 hours agoThe UK. Not the best choice, but I’m a dual citizen.
minus-squareSweetpeaches69@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·8 hours agoOh, that’s great. Good for you, Squid. My girlfriend and I were looking there or Spain. It’d be a nightmare to move, though.
minus-squareFlying Squid@lemmy.worldMlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·8 hours agoGood luck. Get out if you can. It will be a nightmare for us, but we’re doing it anyway.
